What a great book about "how to" create a #digital enterprise. Not only the author did it in TMRW (Digibank South East Asia) sharing his learning, also he shares deep and well structured thinking about the processes from A to Z. If you are in the journey of creating or transforming a digital enterprise (specially in financial services ) this book it is a best in class "cookbook" , it is full of real experiences, together with well docuemented and useful frameworks. Dr Dennis Khoo you rock , thank for putting so much learnings and deep and structured material accesible for all.
Everyone is doing digital transformation today. Yet Dennis brings the rare combination of real experience in building digital banks and the thought discipline to organise it for us into this step-by-step, end-to-end playbook. Because it is rooted in evergreen principles covering customers, technology and leadership, I can see his approach applying to businesses beyond Fintech. A tour-de-force of thought discipline and comprehensive pragmatic advice. Congratulations! You hold in your hands an amazing case study of a traditional enterprise that took on the challenge of building the first digital-native bank for the ASEAN market. It's a story that delves deeply into the challenges and opportunities for Asian business in the digital era. With an insider's view, Dennis Khoo shares key decisions made – in business model, design, technology, culture, and organisational process – with lessons that are applicable for any traditional business pursuing digital transformation.
Driving Digital Transformation articulates the future of banking and what banks must do to survive in the clearest, most compelling and thought-provoking way that I have come across. The principles described in the book are not just the typical anecdotes but a well-thought-out methodology on how to look at the transformation challenges. I believe it is a must-read for CEOs of any company facing the threat of digital disruption.
A rare gem in a deluge of books on digital transformation. Marries robust academic frameworks with the practical experience of a practitioner who has built a successful digital bank from scratch. Comprehensive and insightful, and the Asian lens through which Dennis guides the process of digital transformation makes it even more compelling reading.
Dennis takes the reader on the exciting journey of digital transformation, from the perspective of a business leader and practitioner in the complex operating environment of financial services in Asia. Filled with strategic insights as well as practical tips, this book is a must-read for executives in any industry.

of today’s high failure rates:
Digital Transformations experience failure rates as high as 70-92%. Dr Dennis Khoo attributes this to a lack of a holistic approach that addresses the key elements at play in a complex transformation.

Dr Dennis Khoo and Jung Kiu Choi have created a new holistic approach, The allDigitalFuture Playbook or taP, to solve some of the most difficult issues facing companies tackling complex digital transformation initiatives. The playbook takes a very practical approach by sequencing the many tasks that need to be completed, understanding the complex interactions, making the necessary prioritisation and trade-offs, etc.
What resonated the most with me as I experienced taP in action is that it can serve as a great collaboration platform between business and technology. By using the taP framework the business and technology teams solve business problems and build digital products together. This ultimately ensures the best outcome for the customers.
I congratulate Dennis and Jung Kiu on their phenomenal work. taP fills a much-needed gap that will be widely welcomed by senior executives across many industries.
I have the privilege to know both Dennis and JungKiu for more than 3+decades between them. This Playbook is the culmination of their career long insights in leading digital transformation. Many have attempted to integrate business, consumer, technology and leadership but only Dennis and JungKiu have succeeded in bringing them together in a comprehensive yet simple way. I highly recommend this to be the go-to resource if you are contemplating or are engaged in digital transformation!
the allDigitalFuture Playbook (taP) is written for senior executives of large enterprises who wish to understand and learn how to drive successful digital transformation. I bought it because it is written by Jung Kiu and Dennis, 2 highly accomplished digital transformation leaders in BFSI. I want to find out how they are influencing decision makers in the industry.
The book is easy to read in that it has very few words and lots of graphics, but at the same time, one can’t read it quickly because it is extremely thought-provoking. For example, it took me a solid 5mins to figure out why the authors are arguing small impact couple with less difficult in adoption is undesirable. They are right, btw.
I’m only about 20% through but already, it has given me much food for thoughts for my own business, despite me not being the “right audience”. If you are working for a bank or an insurance company or a fund house, and are responsible for digital transformation, or just any business owner working in the digital space, this playbook will change the way you see things.
